Mental Health Skill Building

The program consists of goal-directed training geared toward assisting adults diagnosed with mental illness achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the least restrictive environment possible. Using therapeutically sound counseling techniques the individual will develop functioning skills and appropriate behavior related to his or her health and safety. Individuals will also develop daily living skills, utilize community resources, and increase awareness of medications and compliance. Individual’s health, physical condition, and nutrition will be monitored.

The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program is a day program for individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who require extensive support with forming/maintaining interpersonal relationships, coping with symptoms of mental illness, and/or health and medication awareness. Individuals are supported by trained, mental health professionals who utilize only evidenced-based, therapeutic approaches. Treatment approaches are based on the unique, individualized needs of each participating individual. The goal is for individuals of the program to receive training and support to be self-sufficient and as independent as possible.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation

Our psychosocial rehabilitation program provides support for social inclusion for individuals with mental illness that need significant support to achieve success in the community.  Individuals are involved in group discussions and counseling facilitated by qualified mental health professionals along with activity schedules that promote building healthy friendships and social supports.

Individuals who attend will explore topics such as coping with a variety of general health and mental health issues, money management, increasing knowledge of activities of daily living, and self-awareness.

* Day Support, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Mental Health Skill Building are all directed by a Licensed Professional Counselor.
** Services are funded through Medicaid, private pay, and other community institutions (when applicable).
